Dr. Nesi Bahar

Dr. Nesi Bahar is a co-founder of VORELL and is responsible for the brand's medical review. She has two jobs: the medical review of product formulations and checking the accuracy of the skincare content VORELL publishes. She founded VORELL together with Akın Doğan; the company that runs the brand is DOBA GROUP MEDİKAL SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş.

What exactly does she do at VORELL?

Her role is review, not marketing. She is involved at three points:

  • New product development. Developing new products is Dr. Nesi Bahar's responsibility and is carried out together with the research and development team at the manufacturing facility.
  • Formulation review. Products are manufactured in Türkiye at the GMP- and ISO-certified Rowe Kozmetik laboratories. The concentration of the active ingredients, how they work together and their suitability for different skin types are reviewed from a medical standpoint before production.
  • Working with responsible persons. We work closely with responsible persons (qualified persons) in both Türkiye and Europe; the required product testing is commissioned in laboratories in Türkiye and Europe.
  • Content review. Skincare articles and product descriptions published on vorell.co are checked for accuracy before they go live. That is why the author and reviewer fields in the articles' schema point to Dr. Nesi Bahar.
  • Limits on claims. What a product does not do is written down just as clearly as what it does. The "what it is not" sections on the product pages and the definitions in the Ingredient Glossary are the output of this review.

Content review principles

These are the rules applied to VORELL content. They are not a marketing preference but a condition of the review:

  • No medical claims. VORELL products are cosmetics; they do not diagnose, treat or prevent disease. No promise of treatment is made for conditions such as acne, eczema or rosacea.
  • No unproven performance promises. Statements such as "permanently shrinks pores" or "erases wrinkles" are not used. The appearance of pores and the size of pores are two different things, and the content keeps them separate.
  • No sun protection claims. No VORELL product is a sunscreen, and none replaces sunscreen.
  • No exaggerated timelines. In skincare, visible results usually take weeks; the content contains no "overnight" promises.
  • Certifications are stated only where they exist. The manufacturing facility holds GMP and ISO certifications. VORELL itself does not hold a vegan certification, a cruelty-free certification, a halal certification, a CPNP registration or FDA approval, and none of these are claimed.

Tests applied to every product

Before VORELL products go on sale, they undergo the following tests in laboratories in Türkiye and Europe:

Test What it verifies
Microbiology testing Shows that the product contains no microorganisms above the accepted limits.
Challenge testing Measures the effectiveness of the preservative system: can the product stay protected against deliberate contamination throughout its period of use.
Stability testing Shows that the formula stays unchanged in color, scent, texture and performance throughout its shelf life.
Dermatological testing Assesses the product's potential to irritate the skin. All VORELL products are dermatologically tested.
Animal DNA screening Carried out for vegan verification; the formula is screened for traces of animal-derived material.
CPSR Cosmetic Product Safety Report. Sets out the product's safety assessment in a form documented by an expert.

In addition, no VORELL product contains alcohol and none of them are tested on animals.

Which topics does she review?

All of the articles on these topics are collected in the Knowledge Center.
